Our client is a leading industrial services and engineering solutions business supporting major mining, petrochemical, power and infrastructure projects across Africa.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for project costing, financial analysis and commercial reporting across multiple projects. This role will work closely with project managers, procurement and operational teams to improve cost control, strengthen reporting accuracy and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyse project profitability across multiple projects and sites
- Prepare project budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
- Track project costs, WIP, accruals and revenue recognition
- Analyse labour, material and subcontractor costs
- Prepare monthly management reports and project finance packs
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
- Partner closely with operations and project teams to improve commercial performance
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with controls
- Assist with CAPEX tracking and financial risk analysis
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- BCom Accounting / Finance or a related qualification is essential
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience within project accounting or costing
- Mining, engineering, construction or industrial sector exposure advantageous
- Strong understanding of project costing and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical ability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
