Education and Qualifications
- Grade 12 / N3 Qualification
- Qualified Artisan Trade Tested (Fitter and Turner/Millwright/Hydraulic Technician)
- Drivers License: Code 8 minimum
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery. (Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Mechanical).
- Conduct fault-finding and repair issues in a timely manner. Strong judgment/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic design drawings and specifications.
- Able to read technical drawings and specifications
- Skilled in fitting, aligning, and repairing motor/gearboxes/pumps.
- Prioritize jobs and breakdowns effectively.
- Take initiative to maintain plant operations.
- Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are up to date.
- Previous experience working with injection moulding and assembly operations advantageous.
- Experience gained in a manufacturing production environment, advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics fault-finding and installation
- Functional mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic testing of special machinery functions and circuits to ensure it meets the intended design functional specifications.
- Sound understanding and knowledge of valve controls and functions thereof.
