Enterprise Architect

Job Summary:

Enterprise Architect Industry: IT – Infrastructure Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

A Quality Certification and Cold Chain Management service provider in Cape Town is seeking an Enterprise Architect. The role involves leading enterprise responses to disruptive forces by identifying and executing change toward the desired business vision and outcomes. This encompasses conducting enterprise analysis and designing solutions across information, business, and technology realms to support digital transformation. The ideal candidate must have a Grade 12/Matric, a BSc/Degree in IT/IS/Comp Sci or similar, ITIL and/or COBIT Certification, and Architecture Framework Certification (e.g., TOGAF) with at least 7 years of relevant work experience, including 5 years deploying and utilizing Enterprise Architecture methods and tools.

Duties:

1. Advise stakeholders on disruptive technologies and trends.
2. Develop business capability models and roadmaps.
3. Develop actionable deliverables guiding investment decisions.
4. Present gap analysis and IT investment roadmap.
5. Execute implementation plans for Enterprise Architecture.
6. Construct technology-enabled operating models.
7. Identify disruptive tech trends affecting business.
8. Provide advice for successful business outcomes.
9. Govern and implement enterprise architecture across the organization.
10. Highlight impacts of digital business initiatives on architecture.
11. Guide architecture integration across domains.
12. Provide leadership with business cases for solution investment.
13. Analyze business drivers and strategies for business context.
14. Recommend solutions for business and tech optimization.
15. Deliver innovation for digital transformation.
16. Oversee the Business Analysis Functional team within ICT division.
17. Develop blueprints depicting current and future enterprise states.
18. Develop roadmaps, standards, and best practices.
19. Assist in defining project direction.
20. Integrate emerging technologies beneficial to the organization.
21. Align with technology and governance strategies, policies, and standards.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with a Degree in Information Systems or related field.
• ITIL and/or COBIT Certification.
• Architecture Framework Certified (e.g., TOGAF).
• 7+ years’ experience in various IT disciplines.
• 5+ years’ deploying and using Enterprise Architecture methods.
• Strong knowledge of Architecture Frameworks.
• Up-to-date tech understanding (Cloud, IoT, Data, Security).
• Familiarity with Information and System Development Management.
• Ability to translate business needs into EA requirements.
• Comfortable balancing foundational and vanguard EA efforts.
