Restaurant Administrative Assistant
Job Summary
My client operates an upscale restaurant in the Southern Suburbs and seeks an Administrative Assistant responsible for various duties:
Responsibilities:
- Add and manage master items and PLU (Price Look-Up) items.
- Record costing and receipts for each PLU item.
- Maintain and update the Pilot touch design, ensuring system cleanliness.
- Record Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) and stock waste on Pilot system.
- Conduct food and beverage stocktakes on Pilot.
- Generate necessary reports for the General Manager (GM) and Food & Beverage (F&B) manager.
- Manage creditors by capturing invoices on Sage Evolution.
- Reconcile creditors’ statements on Evolution and Pilot systems.
- Process payments, discounts, and returns from creditors.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers for credit notes and handle invoice imports.
- Organize stationery orders and perform general filing and record-keeping.
- Manage incoming calls and assist in managers’ absence.
- Oversee bookings when managers are unavailable.
Requirements:
- Minimum Matric certificate (High School diploma equivalent).
- At least 4 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Pilot and Sage Evolution systems.
