Description:
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Mine Overseer to join their mining company based in Limpopo. You will be responsible for leading underground mining operations by ensuring safe, efficient and compliant production while driving operational performance, team leadership and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage underground mining operations to ensure safe, efficient and productive performance.
- Coordinate daily, short- and medium-term production activities in line with operational plans.
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, company standards and operational procedures.
- Monitor and optimise production, equipment utilisation and operational performance.
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and implement corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate the allocation of personnel, equipment and resources to achieve production targets.
- Lead, mentor and develop supervisory teams to drive performance and operational excellence.
- Investigate operational challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor operational costs, budgets and resource utilisation.
- Collaborate with technical, engineering and support departments to optimise operational performance.
- Maintain effective stakeholder relationships and ensure accurate operational reporting
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
- Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering
- Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency
- Blasting Certificate for Underground/Scheduled Mines
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Mine Overseer within an underground mining environment
- Valid Driver’s License
