A Maintenance Tradesperson (All types “Maintenance Tradesperson to be considered: Millwrights, Boiler Makers, Fitters, Turners, Electrical TP etc) is required to do Sets ups, tests, and adjust manufacturing machinery or equipment, using any combination of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or computer technologies.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair stationary industrial and agricultural machinery and electromechanical equipment.
Fit and assemble metal parts and sub-assemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment.
Duties:
– Be actively involved in the OHS System, partake in OHS activities as and when directed.
– Keep work areas clean and free from hazards and risks.
– Practice “clean as you go” at all times.
– Commit to quality and food safety by following the principles set out in the SOP.
– Responsible for storing and clearing area of all tools after use.
– Ensure the area is a safe working space before conducting any work.
– Complete all checks of daily HACCP records.
– Maintain safe work environment by ensuring all pre-inspections and safety checks are done, all machine or electrically operated machinery are locked out and relevant permits are obtained before commencement of any job or task.
– Once all tasks are completed, ensure safety and quality checks are conducted and signed off by relevant parties.
