Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts.
  • Review and report variances from the budget.
  • Ensure the trial balance is accurate and complete.
  • Review Finance Officer’s work to ensure all transactions are booked timely and balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
  • Review monthly journals and reconciliations.
  • Manage bank reconciliations, investment accounts, and cash flow.
  • Sign off on supplier reconciliations and payments.
  • Prepare and submit reports for stakeholders (Dtic, FSB, and National Treasury).
  • Prepare payment requisitions and manage uploads to the banking system.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree with articles completed.
  • CA(SA), CIMA, or SAIPA qualification preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience (including 3 years of articles and 2 years post-articles in a financial institution).
