Vehicle Sales Executive

Job Purpose:

To proactively drive vehicle sales through excellent customer service, relationship-building, and in-depth product knowledge, ensuring targets are consistently met or exceeded while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement:

    • Greet customers professionally and determine their vehicle needs.

    • Offer expert product advice on vehicle specifications, pricing, finance options, and features.

    • Conduct test drives and vehicle demonstrations.

    • Follow up on leads and maintain a customer pipeline using CRM systems.

    • Maintain customer relationships pre- and post-sale to encourage referrals and repeat business.

  • Sales & Target Achievement:

    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

    • Proactively seek new sales opportunities via cold calls, social media, referrals, and networking.

    • Ensure accurate completion of sales documentation and finance applications.

    • Upsell accessories, service plans, and other add-ons.

  • Administrative Duties:

    • Complete all paperwork and vehicle registration accurately and on time.

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle inventory, promotions, and industry trends.

    • Ensure proper handover of vehicles, including explanation of features and warranty.

  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the Sales Manager, Finance & Insurance (F&I) team, and service department.

    • Attend daily sales meetings and training sessions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualifications:

    • Matric / Grade 12.

    • Sales or marketing qualification (advantageous).

    • Valid driver’s license (Code 08 or higher).

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years’ experience in vehicle sales, preferably in a dealership environment.

    • Track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.

  • Skills & Attributes:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Confident, energetic, and self-motivated.

    • Strong negotiation and closing skills.

    • High level of professionalism and integrity.

    • Proficient with MS Office and dealership CRM software.
