Qualified Fitter & Turner/ Maintenance Fitter/ Toolmaker required for a well-established Lanseria-based manufacturing company.
Minimum Requirements:
• Qualified: Fitter and Turner/ Maintenance Fitter/ Tool Jig and Die Maker or equivalent
• 5 years of relevant experience
• The responsibilities would be fitting and turning, maintenance, and basic toolmaking.
• Previous experience in a metal processing environment and roll forming will be advantageous.
• Understanding of the manufacturing processes and Lean manufacturing
• Relevant Technical Qualification
• Candidate needs to be Self-motivated and Able to work independently and in a team environment with a results-driven mindset.
• Basic knowledge of CNC-type machinery
Responsibilities:
• Press tool maintenance, sharpening & repair.
• Support new project tooling from the commissioning stages to the start of production.
• Assisting and overseeing production run setups.
• Overseeing that quality standards are maintained.
• Toolmaker and general machining techniques.
• Fabricate parts using a conventional Lathe, Milling machine
• Roll Former and Tubing making machine experience is advantageous.
• Attend to machine breakdowns and ensure that maintenance is carried out with minimal breakdowns.
• Conducted and coordinated all preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment on the shop floor.
• Ensure that adequate training and safety protocols are maintained.
