Purpose of the Job: To provide actuarial support by analyzing submissions as per the Pension Funds Act, 1956.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science.
- Currently pursuing studies, ideally having passed or been exempted from at least six Actuarial Society of South Africa A-series subjects.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of work experience.
- Experience in insurance product development or data analysis advantageous.
Key Performance Areas:
- Reviewing and analyzing various submissions, making recommendations when necessary.
- Handling extension and valuation exemption applications.
- Assessing statutory actuarial valuation reports and surplus applications.
- Addressing stakeholder complaints and managing 15E, 15J, and 15K applications.
- Providing support to other company departments, notably the Pensions Division.
- Engaging in ad hoc projects.
Other Key Competencies:
- Proficient in computer literacy with excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Team-oriented approach.
