Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

Our client, operating in the fabrication industry, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing and developing various products and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust grasp of mechanical engineering principles, hands-on experience in product design and development, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team or autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, construct, and test automated machinery and processes.
• Develop technical drawings by adhering to specifications and calculations.
• Generate detailed drawings for machinery fabrication and manufacturing.
• Create detailed drawings for machined components and assemblies.
• Produce General Arrangement and Layout drawings.
• Conduct on-site measurements of structures and spaces.
• Collaborate with Engineers and workshop teams to optimize designs.
• Provide innovative technical solutions for cost-effectiveness, product enhancements, and service-related matters.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in sheet metal and machinery design
• Essential experience with Solidworks and Solidworks PDM package
• Familiarity with Rocky DEM (preferred)
• Strong engineering design knowledge
• Logical and detail-oriented approach
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
