Job Summary

Position: Onsite L3 VMware Engineer

Description: Join our IT team as an experienced Onsite L3 VMware Engineer, contributing significantly to maintaining, troubleshooting, and providing high-level support for our VMware infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Manage various vCenter, cluster, and DC environments and their utilization.
• Proficiency in VMware Horizon Environment 7 and 8, including instant clones and VDI recomposing.
• Troubleshoot performance issues in hosts and VMs.
• Familiarity with vROPS and Log Insights.
• Knowledgeable in SRM with Nutanix replication and performing DR tests.
• Conduct regular upgrades of ESXi, vCenters, and VMware platforms.
• Promptly address vulnerabilities and handle urgent concerns.
• Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of Nutanix clusters, including Prism Central and Acropolis clusters.
• Conduct product knowledge and various backup and restore types using Rubrik.

Expertise:

• Ability to work during business hours from 06:00 to 15:00.
• Perform health checks on VMware and Nutanix systems and provide reports by 06:20.
• Manage vendor calls and resolutions by 06:40 if any issues arise.
• Standby duties every 3rd and 4th week, primary and secondary contact.
• Proficiency in diverse technologies including networking and security integration.
• Familiarity with CAB meeting processes and change approval protocols.
• Maintenance tasks such as upgrades performed during weekends.

Qualifications:

• VMware VCP 7 / 8 Certification
• VMware Horizon 7 / 8 Certification
• Nutanix Certifications
• Rubrik Certification

Other Details:

• Location: Onsite or Remote client site.
• Physical Demands: Regular office work, remote work, occasional data center visits.
• Travel: Occasional visits to client sites when working from the office once or twice a week.
