Payroll Administrator

Duties:

  • Managing the full payroll function for 300 – 400 salaried employees on Sage Premier.
  • Processing overtime, claims, and commissions on Sage ESS.
  • Conducting monthly reconciliations of overtime, claims, and commissions.
  • Ensuring accurate leave management and control on Sage ESS.
  • Handling administrative tasks related to clocking systems.
  • Timely communication of payroll changes or challenges to Supervisor/Manager.
  • Reviewing and maintaining payroll processing systems to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
  • Processing leave, employee benefits, and maintaining personal files accurately.
  • Ensuring financial capturing and processing comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Updating employee details, terminations, pay rates, and monthly inputs accurately.
  • Bi-Annual reconciliation and EMP501 submission via E@syFile, along with generating employee IRP5’s.
  • Monthly reconciliation, submission of PAYE/SDL/UIF EMP201’s via E@syFile.
  • Handling monthly reconciliation and payment requests for third-party payments.
  • Proficiency in recon/submission and MIBCO regulations.
  • Applying for tax directives and managing IT88’s.
  • Submission of month-end, GL, salary journals to Finance Department.
  • Ensuring compliance with Industrial labor and tax regulations.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Timely processing of necessary documents and reports.
  • Annual and monthly reconciliation for payroll leave management.
  • Keeping updated with company policies and ensuring strict adherence.
  • Distributing payslips accurately to various branches.
  • Assisting with past and present payroll queries, department audits, and occasional HR tasks.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Payroll Diploma or similar qualification.
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator in the Automotive Industry.
  • Code 08 license.
  • Familiarity with MIBCO regulations.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, ODBC, and VIP Premier/ESS system.
