Job Summary:
We seek qualified candidates meeting the following specifications to oversee the Engineering Department. The role involves planning, organizing, and directing to ensure timely development of new products and maintenance of existing ones.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers for new product requirements and ongoing developments.
- Develop project plans and costing data.
- Create APQP plans for implementation projects.
- Ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct Engineering, project, and APQP meetings.
- Supervise engineering changes and development programs.
- Manage process-related downtime, scrap root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement engineering systems and procedures.
- Lead the implementation of various programs and projects.
- Efficiently manage subordinates and resources.
- Prepare engineering product information for quotation purposes.
- Engage with customers and suppliers on technical matters.
- Uphold the company’s vision across all levels.
- Ensure adequate staffing and guide subordinates to achieve goals promptly.
- Responsible for training, coaching, and guiding subordinates.
- Monitor, manage, and report on Engineering function performance.
Required Education:
- Minimum degree/diploma in Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar environment.
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
- Artisan qualification would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in project management principles.
- Advanced computer literacy.
