The City is striving to improve its evidence-based decision-making and is implementing an innovative data strategy. There is an exciting opportunity to lead and guide the enhancement of the City’s research analytics and statistical capacity.

 

Key Performance Areas: • Lead and guide the Department’s contribution to the City’s data, statistics and analytics capability, use and application to inform strategy, policy, planning and decision making processesLead the City’s statistics capability, use of statistical data and methods to support data analysis and interpretation, including trends and predictionsLead the City’s data analytics processes using a range of data sourcesLead and guide the department’s data management and data modelling processes to inform planning and decision makingGuide and manage urban development data and visualisation products for the City and provide analytical supportLead, manage and monitor the review of data needs and outcomes and provide information analysis advice and supportLead and manage data, statistics and analytics partnerships and related programmes and projectsEnsure effective and efficient use of resources and manage development of staff.

Candidate Requirements

Requirements: • A four-year degree (preferably Master’s) in Social Sciences, Statistics or Data Science or a related disciplineUp to 8 years’ relevant functional experience with 2 or more years management experience.
