The City is striving to improve its evidence-based decision-making and is implementing an innovative data strategy. There is an exciting opportunity to lead and guide the enhancement of the City’s research analytics and statistical capacity.

Key Performance Areas: • Lead and guide the Department’s contribution to the City’s data, statistics and analytics capability, use and application to inform strategy, policy, planning and decision making processes • Lead the City’s statistics capability, use of statistical data and methods to support data analysis and interpretation, including trends and predictions • Lead the City’s data analytics processes using a range of data sources • Lead and guide the department’s data management and data modelling processes to inform planning and decision making • Guide and manage urban development data and visualisation products for the City and provide analytical support • Lead, manage and monitor the review of data needs and outcomes and provide information analysis advice and support • Lead and manage data, statistics and analytics partnerships and related programmes and projects • Ensure effective and efficient use of resources and manage development of staff.
