PROFESSIONAL OFFICER: COMMUNITY CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT (PUBLIC ART)
BASIC SALARY COMMENCING FROM R393 380 PER ANNUM • REF.: SDECD 09/19
LOCATION: CAPE TOWN
Key Performance Areas: • Engage with Projects relating to arts and culture in general and public art in particular • Co-ordinate the functional and operational activities of public art programmes • Gather general and best practice information on public art • Advise on public art matters to internal and external stakeholders • Coordinate, scope, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate arts, culture and public art projects • Manage legislative compliance in terms of permitting public art • Perform a range of administrative duties.

Candidate Requirements
Requirements: • A relevant tertiary level qualification (BTech or first degree) • Up to 5 years’ working experience in Arts and Culture and Community Development Projects • Project Management skills and exposure to a visual arts environment would be an advantage • PC literacy (MS Office) • A valid driver’s licence. Note: The successful incumbent may be required to work after hours, including weekends and public holidays.
